Pollen Their Weight

Tonight Beavers took part in the Pollen Their Weight Trail card.
We started the night by discussing the importance of pollinators, what they do, and pesticides including safe DIY alternatives.
1) Our first activity we were busy little bees collecting coloured pompoms and delivering them to the appropriate colour flower. If you were tagged by the pesticide you had to go back to the middle and start again.
2) We sure got thirsty! For our second activity we created drinking bowls for pollinators using pie plates, and coloured beads and rocks.
3) The night was finished by taking part in the Cheetos Challenge. It was very interesting how much pollen (cheese powder) was transfer to our flowers.
