Council Commissioner — Saskatchewan

The Council Commissioner is the leading volunteer for Scouting in Saskatchewan with a membership of over 1,210 Youth supported by more than 475 volunteers. Working closely with a team of volunteers, and the Council Leadership Team, the Council Commissioner is responsible for supporting and growing the Scouting movement in Saskatchewan, as well as being a vital member of the National Service Team and setting the direction for Scouting in Canada.

The Council Commissioner is the leading volunteer for Scouting in Chinook with a membership of over 6,210 Youth supported by more than 2,190 volunteers. Working closely with a team of volunteers, and the Council Leadership Team, the Council Commissioner is responsible for supporting and growing the Scouting movement in Chinook, as well as being a vital member of the National Service Team and setting the direction for Scouting in Canada.

Working groups of the Interamerican Scout Committee

During the last Interamerican Scout Committee (ISC) meeting, held in Panama City, the Committee decided to form several working groups. These working groups are related to the implementation of some resolutions taken by the 27th Interamerican Scout Conference, held in Panama in November 2019.

The ISC decided to integrate volunteers from the different NSOs of the Interamerican Scout Region into the working groups, and to do this through an open call.

In order to help achieve our mission of developing well-rounded youth, better prepared for success in the world, Scouts Canada is committed to ensuring our programs and activities are accessible to everyone who wants to join the Scouting movement.

We are currently seeking a small team of individuals to consult on a Deaf and Hard of Hearing eLearning course we are currently developing to launch in September 2019. If you have experience working with deaf and hard of hearing individuals, please contact us.
