No One Left Behind

Scouting is needed now, more than ever.

Think back to when you were a kid, going outdoors and being carefree. When you’d go on adventures. And high-five. When you would get lost in the woods with your friends until it was supper or bedtime. A time when you were allowed to play in the park with others and when you could invite the new kid to play without worrying about staying six feet apart.

 It seems like another time.

Dealing with COVID has been tough, especially on kids and young adults. We’ve all been feeling the effects on our work, our family, our social life, and for some, on our finances. With news and events shifting rapidly, it’s inevitable that for some families, important programs like Scouting are falling by the wayside.

But it doesn’t have to be this way!

With your help, we can ensure that every youth has the opportunity to experience new adventures with Scouts. When you donate to No One Left Behind, membership fees and related costs are subsidized for youth with families facing economic barriers.

Every young person deserves to experience the world of fun, friendship and self-development Scouting offers. And with your support, they can.

While Scouting is quite affordable for some families, there remain thousands of youth across our country whose families face economic barriers, hindering their opportunity for participation in our youth-led programming.

If you’re able, please donate to NOLB so we can prepare youth across the country for future success – and let kids get back to worrying about kid stuff.

Kids like 13-year-old Damian, who has been in Scouting since age 5, and has found a place where he belongs and where he can explore the world around him and learn important life skills at his own pace.

“We figured out pretty quickly with Damian that he was not going to fit in any sort of box ever, even before he was officially diagnosed with autism. Scouting has provided him with a place to be himself, meet others and discover new things in a more informal framework with no pressure to perform like organized sports or school.” - Alicia H., Scouter, mother of 6 and Scouts Canada NOLB recipient.

Like many other families, Alicia and her husband lost their single source of income for a few months and had to seek support to make ends meet as a result of Covid-19.

With your donation today, you can provide a youth like Damian with the opportunity to experience the benefits that Scouting has to offer.
