Plan

  • Where will you play Change Three Things?
  • How long will you take to play?
  • What things could you use to make this game more fun?
  • How will you decide who will go first?
  • How will you take turns guessing how a player changed how he or she looks?

Do

  • In your group, choose one person to go first. Take a moment to look closely at the person.
  • The other person will then turn their backs to the first person, and he or she will change three things about how he or she looks.
  • When he or she says “Ready,” the rest of the group turns back around.
  • Take turns guessing the three things that the person changed. He or she might have tucked or untucked his or her shirt, untied a shoe, or taken off a hat.
  • Take turns being the one to change how you look.

Review

  • What do you know now that you did not know before?
  • How did it feel to look closely at another player?
  • How hard was it to guess the three changes others made?
  • How did it feel to have others take a long look at you?
  • What did you like best about this game?
  • When is it hard to be a good listener? Why? How can you be a better listener?

Keep it Simple

Work together as a Lodge or lair and see if you can work out what the person has changed.

Take it Further

Rather than having one person change three things, have one person close their eyes and have the rest of the group each change one thing about themselves. See how many changes you can guess!
